To integrate AWS CloudTrail into the Complico system, go to the Available Integrations page and click on the CloudTrail icon, as indicated by the arrow below.
In the "Add Integration" window below, it is necessary to furnish the AWS Access Key and Secret Key.
Prior to obtaining these keys, it is imperative to confirm that our CloudTrail users in the AWS system possess Read-Only Permissions.
These permissions are vital for the Complico system to collect information from the Integration App.
Complico exclusively necessitates Read-Only access, retrieving data solely for compliance purposes, and refraining from making any alterations, deletions, or additions to the CloudTrail system.
On the AWS Console home page below, click on the IAM (Identity and Access Management) button, as indicated by the arrow below, to access User Groups and Permissions.
In case the IAM button is not visible on the main Console page, search for "IAM" in the site's search bar.
Here, on the User Groups tab, we will establish a group and grant it Read-Only permissions for CloudTrail.
Any user added to this group will automatically inherit these permissions.
Begin by clicking the "Create Group" button, as indicated by the arrow below.
On the Create Group page, locate the CloudTrail Read Only Access permission policy, as circled below.
Once you have chosen the appropriate permission, as indicated by the arrow below, proceed by clicking on the "Create Group" button, as circled below.
If there are no existing users to add to the group, navigate to the Users tab and click on "Create User," as indicated by the arrow below.
Name the new User.
Add the newly created user to the CloudTrail Group.
This ensures that the user receives the CloudTrail Read-Only Permissions, essential for integrating the system with Complico.
We have ensured that our users have the necessary Read-Only permissions for CloudTrail.
Now, proceed by clicking on your Admin name to open the drop-down options menu, as indicated by the arrow below.
From this menu, select "Security Credentials," as circled below.
Navigate to 'Access Keys' and click the 'Create Access Key' button, as indicated by the arrow below.
Return to Complico's Add Integration window and fill in a custom integration name along with the keys that were created.
Now, choose the correct Vendor that offers the CloudTrail service.
If there is no suitable Vendor available, you can also create a new Vendor directly in the Add Integration window and click on the 'Create Vendor' button, as indicated by the arrow below.
Once all mandatory fields are completed, proceed by clicking on the 'Add Integration' button, as indicated by the arrow below.
On the Installed Integration page, you can observe your installed integrations. In the image below, one can see an example of the CloudTrail Integration already installed.
